Fast Forward Run Coaching provides a combination of world-class athletic experience and Master's level education in sport science.

 

Coach Jess O'Connell deeply understand the science behind training as well as how it feels to chase goals and compete, and has created hundreds of training programs with care and integrity. 

Fast Forward Coaching goes way beyond generic training and includes:

  • 100% custom training plan created just for YOU based on: training history, available time and terrain, fitness level, and goals

  • expert feedback and support from an Olympian, exercise physiologist, and experienced coach (all in one!)

  • injury prevention exercises

  • drills to improve your running form

  • training pace guidelines

  • race strategy planning

  • options for strength training to enhance your running and overall fitness

  • detailed guidance on sports nutrition, pacing, training in the heat, and more​

About

ABOUT THE COACH

Jessica O’Connell, a 2016 Olympian and a 15-time national team member, brings a rich blend of professional running experience and academic knowledge to Fast Forward Run Coaching. In addition to remote coaching, Jess also coaches track and cross country at the University of Calgary. 

Passionate about crafting training programs for runners at all levels, Jess finds equal joy in aiding elite athletes to achieve podium finishes and in helping beginners surpass their own expectations. 

Jess prioritizes recovery and wellness in her coaching and believes that patience, consistency, and FUN leads to incredible results.
